UC Fatorda in last four

United Club, Fatorda played second fiddle for most part of the match but still trouped out winners with a 4-2 tie-breaker victory over Cana-Benaulim Sporting Association to enter the semi-finals of 10th V.M. Salgaocar memorial veterans soccer tournament organised by Prime Sports Club at Nagoa panchayat ground.
Cana-Benaulim with former internationals Mauricio Afonso and Mario Soares in their ranks dominated but poor finishing upfront by Cruz Rebello was their undoing. Fatorda put up a much improved display after the change of ends with medios Joaquim Fernandes and Anthony Patiu working tirelessly. Fatorda striker, Wesley Miranda wasted a fine opportunity in the closing stages.
In the tie-breaker, Fatorda converted through Agnelo Araujo, Joaquim Fernandes, Santano Furtado and Sebastiao Fernandes. Caetano Mono and Fermino Pereira found the mark for Cana..
