PANJIM: United Club of Utorda organized their 20th annual sports meet at SAG ground, Utorda, recently. Various events such as relay races, 100mt races for sub juniors, juniors and seniors for men and women were held.
Cycle race for junior boys and slow motorcycle race for men, tug of war for men and women were held in which married men and married ladies proved stronger.
There was a good response for events like musical hat, bombarding the cities, mixing the sleepers, breaking the pot.
Chief Guest Rumaldo Rego in his address stressed on the importance of sports activities and complimented the club for work done in the field of sports.
Sports secretary Remedious Monterio, Albino D’Costa and Tony Fernandes were project managers.
Earlier, Agnelo Pereira welcomed the sports gathering. Morais compered while Trindade Fernandes proposed a vote of thanks.
