PANJIM: In zone 6, Utorda thumped Fatorda 7-3 in a U-13 boys match in the on-going Goa Football Development Council Rising Star Football Festival on Saturday.
In the very 2nd minute, Lysander Baretto opened the score for Utorda. In the next minute Kalparaj Kante equalised, 1-1.
In the 24th and 27thminute Utorda scored two goals through Nathan Vales and Hayles Rodrigues respectively, 3-1.
In the 33rd minute, Praveen Khole made it 3-2. Kalparaj and Lysander secured their brace for the day in the 51st and 52nd minute respectively, 4-3.
Tahir Shaik added his name on the score sheet by scoring goals in the 53rd, 55th and 57th minute and was also declared as the player of the match.
In the U-13 girls match, Utorda and Fatorda played out a goalless draw. In the U-10 boys, Fatorda pipped Utorda 1-0 and Shaun Rodrigues was the lone scorer.
In zone 9, Cuncolim humbled Devabhag 3-0 in a U-10 boys match played at Devabhag ground. Ashford Dias gave the Cuncolim side an early lead by sending home the ball in the very 4th minute and six minutes later he made it 2-0.
In the second half, Alden Dias scored a goal to seal the victory for the Cuncolim side.
In a U-13 boys match, Cuncolim registered a 1-0 win over Devabhag. In the dying minute of the proceedings Denver Rodrigues scored the winning goal and won the player of the match.
