MAPUSA: St Anthony’s High School, Monte de Guirim claimed double crowns at the U-17 Bardez Taluka hockey tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, after both boys and girls teams won their respective finals, at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, on Friday.
In the boys section, St Anthony’s HS got the better of Janata HS, Mapusa by a solitary goal win. The only goal of the match was scored by Daniel.
In the girls section, they defeated St Anthony’s HS, Duler 5-0.
Shrutika B and Siya D scored a brace each with Geeta Rathod added her name to the scorers’ list.
