PEDDA-VARCA: Varca SC edged past Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna 2-1 to move into the semi-finals of the Varca Village Panchayat soccer, at Varca Sports Club ground, on Saturday.
Rossman striker and skipper Hayden Fernandes should have scored in the sixth and eighth minutes but the Varca keeper Muhammad Shaikh was equal to the task on both occasions.
Varca opened the score-line through Dylan Lima in the 10th minute.
Five minutes later, Varca doubled the lead through Klinnson Pereira.
Savio Fernandes pulled a goal back for Rossman in the 51st minute.
