ASSOLNA: Varca SC blanked Pax of Nagoa 5-0 in the GFA Third Division League, at Assolna ground, on Thursday.
All the goals came in the second session of the play.
Nagoa keeper Aslhon Braganza pulled out brilliant saves in the 23rd and 26th minute to deny Columban Noronha and Quelon Alemao respectively.
At the half hour mark, Nagoa almost took the lead but Jesloy Moniz’s goal bound effort was saved by Varca keeper Mohammed Shaikh
Varca were denied once again in the 43rd minute when Daniel Fernandes’ effort hit the crossbar and went out of play.
Crossing ends, Varca went all out and scored five goals as Pax of Nagoa were couldn’t keep their defence intact.
The Nagoa team lost their concentration as they conceded goals at regular intervals.
Clive Colaco gave his team the much deserved lead in the 52nd minute, while Johnus doubled the account in the 55th minute.
Down by two goals, the Nagoa team were all over the place as Varca dominated the play with quick passing and breaking from the wings.
Columban Noronha made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute.
Macklin Mascarenhas scored the fourth in the 87th minute.
In the 90th minute, Johnus completed his brace to make it 5-0 for the winners.
