QUEPEM: Varca Sports Club thumped San Jose de Areal Sports Club by 6-4 goals via tie-breaker to enter into the quarter-finals of the Fr Agnelo youth inter-village football tournament organised by Fr Agnelo Youth Sports Club, Paroda and played at Panchayat ground, Avedem, Quepem, on Monday.
Jayson Fernandes scored for Varca while Nevil Soares scored the equaliser for San Jose de Areal.
The scores were levelled at 1-1at the final whistle.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Gracio Alemao, Colombia Norhona, Solman Fernandes, Valentino Rodrigues and Mohomad Shaikh scored for Varca Sportd Club while Fredrick Andrews, Aston Dias and Cleston Gomes found the net for San Jose de Areal Sports Club.
