CHORAO: Host Wadeshwar Sports Club defeated Chirag Cricketers by 2 runs to win the all-Goa tennis ball cricket tournament, at Saude ground, recently.
Wadeshwar SC won the toss and elected to bat and put together 62 runs in the allotted 5 overs.
In reply, Chirag Cricketers scored 59 runs for the loss of 7 in their allotted 5 overs.
The winners were awarded Rs 20,000 plus trophy while the runners-up received Rs. 10,000 plus trophy.
In all 16 teams participated in the tournament.
Mayem Social Worker Santoshkumar Sawant was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of panch member Prasad Chodankar, social worker Ashu Dhuri and Sanjay Gaikwad.
