PANJIM: The World English Language Scrabble Players Association Championships (WESPAC) will be held from October 15 to 20, at the Peddem Indoor Sports Stadium under the aegis of The World English-language Players’ Association, the Scrabble Association of India and Scrabble Association of Goa.
Over 250 of the best scrabble players from 30 countries will be taking part in WESPAC GOA.
Held once in two years, this is the only global scrabble championship that players need to qualify to attend and is hence the most prized championship in the Scrabble world.
For the first time the tournament is being held in a sports stadium signifying the increasing recognition of scrabble as a mind sport.
