MARGAO: Wilred Leisure Sports Club blanked Fr Agnel Youth Sports Club, Paroda 2-0 to march into the semi-finals of all-Goa Davorlim Soccer Cup inter-village football tournament, organized by Sporting Club of Davorlim, at panchayat ground, Davorlim, Tuesday.
Both the goals came in the opening session.
Wilred Leisure Sports Club dominated the proceedings and raided the rival goal. their efforts bore the fruit in the 5th minute when Diago Dias beat rthe rival goalkeeper with rasping shot . The early goal boosted the morale of Wilred Leisure Sports Club as they intensified their forays with striker Sertorio Monteiro scoring the insurance goal late in the first half.
Crossing over, Wilred Leisure Sports Club continued to enjoy the lion share of exchanges and but could not add to their tally as their forwards misfired from close range.
Fr Agnel Youth Club tried their best to come back into the game but failed to get past the rival rearguard .
