Wilred Leisure Sports Club crushed Ambelim Sports Club 5-1 to cruise into the quarter-finals of 3rd Wilred Leisure Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Wilred Leisure Sports Club at Curtorim ground, on Wednesday. Wilred Leisure led 4-0 at the breather.
Wilred Leisure enjoyed a lion share of exchanges with striker Nickson Castana having been in sublime form and was a thorn in the rival defence as he demolish the rival citadel with well orchestrated raids and kept their rival defenders on their toes.
Wilred Leisure opened their scoring early when Agnelo Martins converted the spot kick in the 16th minute.
Wilred Leisure outplayed their opponents in all departments as their opponents were disjointed as they rarely troubled the rival defence. Three minutes later, Nickson increased their tally when he bulged the net off a pass from Agnelo Martins.
In the 26th minute, Nickson struck a second time to complete his brace.
Earlier, Sertorio Monteiro added his name on the scorer list in the 20th minute.
Crossing over, Wilred Leisure played at a leisurely pace and did not allow their opponents to bounce back as their defenders were alert in frustrating the rival attacks. Tony Dias nodded in off a chip from Steven Dias soon after resumption.
Ambelim scored their consolation goal late in the second half through Ladsilau Fernandes.
