PANJIM: Goan Warriors Football Club scored in either half of the play to score a comfortable 2-0 win over Anjuna Gymkhana in the Goa Football Association U-14 Second Division League at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Wednesday.
Zaid Khan was the star player for the winners as it was his goals which lifted Goan Warriors to a crucial win. Zaid, first scored in the 26th minute and then doubled the account in the 69th minute to deny any hopes of late comeback for Anjuna Gymkhana.
In another match at Artificial Turf ground, it was about another individual brilliance from Chalton Coelho which helped Raia Football Club pocket full points against CAC Cansaulim. After playing a barren first session, Raia finally managed to break down the stubbord Cansaulim defence as they scored two goals in the span of three minutes. Chalton first scored in the 47th minute and then completed his brace in the 50th minute to seal full points for Raia.
