Turtles play a crucial role in marine biodiversity. With a turtle conservation campaign in North Goa, fishermen urge authorities to extend it to South Goa too.
Beyond turtle conservation, these fishermen demand an end to marine pollution, which threatens fish stocks and their livelihood. They oppose coal handling projects that could devastate South Goa’s waters.
“If coal hubs rise, the sea will be poisoned, and fishing will vanish,” the fishermen warn.
