PANJIM: Sairaj Naik emerged champion in chess tournament organised by A-R Tuition Classes in association with Ponda Taluka Chess Association (PTCA) at Curti after conducting chess coaching camp for students and other children. There were 20 participants. Dattaram Kerkar, Vardhan Gaude and Vallari Khedekar secured the second, third and fourth place, respectively.
Chief guest Radha Sakordekar, PTCA member, in the presence of Archana Tendulkar, treasurer; Sandesh Naik, joint secretary; Anand Kurtikar, chess coach and teacher Mamata Kurtikar distributed the prizes to the winners. Prizes were announced by Anushka Naik, while Maithili Gaude compered and Sanvee Kurtikar, proposed a vote of thanks.
