PANJIM: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Goa Zone seized huge volume of drugs in three separate raids over a period of two days. Two persons from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan have been arrested.
In the first raid, the team seized 1.25 kg of ganja, near a mart at Old Goa from the possession of an Uttar Pradesh native on Wednesday. A two-wheeler used for transportation of the seized drugs has also been seized.

Based on further lead and surveillance, the team seized another 3.70 kg of ganja on Thursday. This led to the arrest of a Rajasthan native. During the followup action, another 20.20 kg of ganja was seized from his rented house at Shiroda, Ponda. Another two-wheeler was seized which was used for the offence.
The Narcotics Control Bureau said the case formalities are underway and further details will be updated accordingly. All due precautions to stay safe from COVID-19 are also being ensured.
