In the first semi-finals, St Xavier’s College played well to have a better share of the exchanges and score once in each half. Craig Menezes scored the first goal through a header during the add on time of the first half. Anson D’Souza completed the tally with his finish in the 78th minute.
The second semi-finals, between Fr Agnel College, Pilar and DM’s College, Assagao was an exciting affair. The teams played attacking football at a good pace. Pilar got the match-winner through Ronil Azavedo in the 24th minute. DM’s College kept on trying till the end but were denied an equalizer by the organized Pilar defense.
The final will be played on Saturday, at GFA Stadium, Mapusa, at 9.30 a.m.
