Scientists converge to Goa to discuss significance of sea ice

To highlight the significance of sea ice in the global climate system, the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Vasco has organised a four-day national conference on polar sciences. The conference began on May 16 and will go on till May 19. 

The conference is organized to discuss the condition of the Polar points and rapid climate change. Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences Dr M Ravichandran stated The National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research aims to bring researchers working in diverse regions to a common ground to address the various scientific and operational issues
