Accused Irshad Sangur escaped from the custody of the escort party after the court completed hearing evidence in a theft case. Sources said this is the second time that the accused managed to give the escort party the slip.
Sources in the know said the incident occurred after the court completed proceedings in respect of the evidence against the accused. When the accused was escorted out of the court room after the proceedings, he jumped out and made good his escape, leaving the escort party clueless.
The Margao police are on the look out for the accused who is charged in a theft case.
