Govt says lockdown message ‘fake’

PANJIM: The State government has clarified that there will be no complete lockdown in the State following rumours spread on social media.

A statement issued by the Government of Goa says that the message about a complete lockdown from June 15, which is going viral on social media, is fake and people should stay away from such fake messages.

“Government has urged that people should take precautions by maintaining distance, wear face cover to prevent spread and fight against COVID-19,” it says.
