Goa Pollution Board Files Complaint Against Vagator Clubs for Exceeding Noise Limits

PANJIM: The Goa State Pollution Control Board has lodged a complaint against the owner and manager of two clubs in Vagator for allegedly playing music beyond permissible limits and causing noise pollution during the last week of December.

According to the police, the complaint has been filed against the manager of Hill Top and Salud. Both clubs are accused of playing music above the allowable decibel limit, with readings recorded at 65.7 dB.

An FIR has been filed under Section 5 of The Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, and Section 15 of the Environment

Protection Act, 1986.

The case is currently under investigation by Sandesh Chodankar,
