MARGAO: Irked over irregular supply of essentials and not providing the allotted ration quota, the Davorilm ration cardholders demanded action against the fair price shop owner, on Friday.
The officials of Margao Department of Civil Supplies visited the fair price shop to listen to the people’s grievances. The people had complained that the fair price shop timings are irregular and the owner has been taking holidays on days which the shop is supposed to remain open.

Civil Supplies official Ramkrishna Salgaionkar said that he has taken down the complaints of the people and will forward them to their superiors for further action.
Ramkrishna informed that there is a regular supply of all the essentials to the fair price shop except for the onions. Andrew said that though there is a need for more fair price shops, there has been no new allotment of shops for the Davorlim area.
