All Goans are proud about your selection as Defence Minister of India by our Prime Minister Narendraji Modi. A person of your integrity, intelligence, honesty and hard work deserves the post of Defence Minister which India was lacking since independence. Goans have no doubt that you are doing full justice to your post and the confidence which PM has posed in you. All non-selfish Goans pray for your long life and good health so that you can set right corrupt practices in Defence Ministry and make India strong.
However, some of your views and actions cause a great disappointment to your admirers like me. Try to correct them as early as possible so that your image in the minds and hearts of Goans does not deteriorate. I hereby give your disappointing views and action:
Your frequent indulgence in Goa’s politics gives an impression that you are indispensable. Let caliber, integrity and honesty of your party colleagues, MLAs, Ministers, Corporators, etc., be tested by Goans.
Your promise about zero-tolerance to corruption is in shambles. Considering the magnitude of corruption of BJP politicians and bureaucrats, people are feeling that Congress was better than BJP.
Your promise about medium of instruction at primary school level is in doldrum. You had formed a group of well-known academicians to study and give their suggestions on the MoI. Even views were invited from the public and panchayats on the issue. However, you have deliberately not made them public. Inspite of knowing what is good for the students and society, have remained stubborn and are following appeasement politics. Is MoI in Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, China, Korea and many other countries, English?
Many development projects are started at a time without sufficient financial arrangements. As a result, PWD and GSIDC Contractors are not getting payments for six/eight months or more.
In 2012 election, Goans had voted for BJP on the basis of your promises and integrity. On development side and social welfare schemes, you have done extremely well. However, on points of corruption and MoI, you have failed miserably. Majority of minority community was never with BJP nor they will be with BJP in future as they are influenced by their religious leaders.
If corrective actions are not taken in the next one year, BJP will be reduced to 10 to 12 seats. As per my prediction, as election comes nearer, many of BJP minority MLAs will shift their loyalty to winning side.
