PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Sunday assured Government support to make cash strapped Kadamba Transport Corporation self-reliant.
The Chief Minister launched 15 Kadamba school buses on the 33rd anniversary of KTC on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Transport Minister Sudin Dhavalikar said that the corporation had played a major role in the socio-economic development of the State while chairman, BJP MLA, Carlos Almeida said that the corporation has already initiated steps to improve its functioning and service.
On the occasion, some employees were commended for their service, while children of the employees who excelled at their board exams were felicitated. A souvenir was also released on the occasion.
Dwarkanath Row, Chairman of Goa Public Service Commission, Director of Transport Arun Dessai and others were also present.
