The evening air at Taleigão on April 30 2022 swayed to the sounds, beats and voices of contemporary Konkani singers and musicians. Kor Kantar Taleigão 2022 pulled in a record crowd of three thousand passionate lovers of Konkani pop. Fr. Cipriano da Silva, Parish Priest of St. Michael’s Church, Taleigão led the people in prayer. After a warm welcome from the conceptualiser and director Robert Cabral, the show was ably hosted by Agnelo de Borim in his elegant Konkani. The energetic rendition of the catchy theme song Kor Kantar Taleigão 2022by Cassian joined in chorus by Shania Silveira, Ninoshka Menezes and Sarah Cabral set the tone for the evening. The audience then got a lavish dose of the latest Konkani songs from Avers Pereira, Hendry and Clarissa Lobo, Comedian Dominic, Elaine Pinto and Sheena Gracias, Neves Oliveira, Akki, Ageema and P. Agnelo. Young Velrose from Canada was appreciated for her command of the trumpet as also the novelty of it. The crowd was mesmerised by globally acclaimed German Pop Song Grand Prix winner Hema Sardesai as she zestfully performed a medley of songs familiar to them. After 20 years in Taleigao, Konkani stage Superstar Jose Rod struckan emotional chord with his fans and left them wanting more of him.The second part of the show brought on stage Sanio from Dubai, Holly, Shania Silveira, Kashvina Cardozo and celebrities like Lawry Travasso and Mark Revlon. Several of the artists came together on stage to bring the evening to a close as they bid Adeus in song to the delighted audience. Most of the new songs was composed by Jose Rose &Neves Oliveira.
The wit of the comedian trio of Dominic, Sally and Mathew thrice provided the people a short break from the music.
