PONDA: Commuters traveling on buses along the approach road to the KTC Bus Stand in Ponda are enduring hardship due to the pothole-ridden road leading to the bus stand. Numerous potholes can be seen along this stretch, creating a risk of accidents. The road is also frequently used by college students from Farmagudi, increasing the safety concerns.
This particular stretch of road gets damaged every year due to water accumulation in certain spots, making it a recurring problem.

Vishal Fadte, a resident of Ponda, pointed out that in addition to the road near the KTC Bus Stand, potholes can also be seen near the Amigos Underpass junction at Curti. He emphasised that since these roads will be heavily used during the upcoming Chaturthi Festival, authorities should conduct a survey of such roads and carry out necessary repairs before the festival, particularly the road near the KTC Bus Stand, to ensure the safety of the public.
