PANJIM: Budding player Tanisi Kirtani clinched the double crown by winning the junior girls and women titles, at the Panjim Gymkhana table tennis tournament, recently.
Wesley Do Rosario emerged champion in the junior boys.
In the junior girls singles final, Tanisi outplayed Isha Bhandary in the straight three sets 11-7, 11-4, 11-3 while in the ladies singles final she defeated Prutha Parrikar 11-7, 11-3,11-1.
In the junior boys singles final, Wesley Do Rosario outplayed Siddhant Parekh 4-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-6.
Vishnu Kolvalkar, secretary, Goa Table Tennis Association, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up.
Also present for the function were committee members of Panjim Gymkhana Suresh Y. Karapurkar, Kapil Angle and Ajit Ghantkar.
