However, finally in the 26th minute Panjim finally managed to breach the Angels’ defense. A fine long pass by Dhiraj Chouhan was nicely controlled and finished by Nicklas to make it 1-0 for his side.

However, Chandan managed to find the equalizer for Curchorem side in the 43rd minute, as he connected James corner with a rasping strike, 1-1.

On resumption of play Doyal had two chances to increase Panjim’s lead but first Angel’s custodian Oswin Rodrigues left his side to thwart Panjim’s forward, and then ten minutes later Doyal failed to keep his chip shot on target from close.

However, it was a matter of a few more seconds as Panjim once again surged ahead through Maximo. Jonas came with a perfect cross to Nicklas who headed it to Doyal. The forward this time made no mistake to slot the ball home from inside the 6-yard box to make it 2-1 for the Capital City side.

Energised by the goal, Panjim added another to their tally just a minute before the hour mark as Angles’ defense line failed to clear Nicklas’ corner where unmarked Dhiraj wasted no time to blast the ball in the goal making it 3-1.

As the match progressed, Maximo made it 4-1 by slotting the ball into the goal from close.

Panjim’s hunger for goals did not end where Johnson strike rebounded of the goal post to find Nicklas tap it home to make it 5-1.
