PANJIM: Curtorim Gymkhana defeated Margao Sports Club to enter the finals of 17th Holy Cross inter-village football tournament organized by Holy Cross Sports Club at Vodlemoll ground, Kakoda.
Curtorim started on an attacking note. In the 10th minute however, Olvito Dias of Margao found his shot striking the crossbar. In a couple of minutes Margao went ahead with Francis Anrade finding the net.

Within a few minutes, Francis had another shy at the goal but it was kept out by goalkeeper Custodio.
Francis kept on threatening with his long range strikes while Danny Dias saw his shot being deflected off Bruno Fernandes.
In the second half, Curtorim pressed hard, earning two corner kicks but without success. Later, Margao’s Danny Dias found his volley going over the post.
Sertorio Monteiro of Curtorim missed an open chance heading the ball over the post from close. They were unlucky as Bruno hit the crossbar and then Mario missed the target.
