VASCO: South Goa District Hospital’s Nodal Officer Dr Rajesh Patil has emphasised on the importance of parents of the children getting vaccinated for COVID-19 infection.
“The State government has already swung into the action for the preparedness to counter the third COVID wave, yet special attention and care need to be taken of the special children and children with co-morbidities,” claimed Dr Patil.

In a recently held awareness-cum-family protection kit distribution programme at Velsao, Dr Patil, who was the resource person, spoke about the COVID-19 disease and created awareness.
“Knowing about the third wave, the government is now organising itself to face the infection in the paediatric age group by training nurses, keeping hospitals with paediatric ICUs, trying to build and maintain all the infrastructure to control and treat this age group,” he added.
Dr Patil mentioned that it is important that the parents must get themselves immunised quickly. COVID norms should be followed strictly.
