G Angel oust Mobor Boys

Guardian Angel, Sanvordem defeated Mobor Boys 4-2 to sail into the quarter-finals of Gumboots football tournament organised by Gumboots Boys of Orlim at church ground, Orlim on Wednesday. They led 2-1 at half time.
Guardian Angel dominated the proceedings and enjoyed a lion share of the exchanges. Their persistent raids fetched them dividends when Cruz bulged the net from close range.
Spurred by the early goal, Guardian Angel mounted pressure and were rewarded when Cruz struck the second time and also completed his brace.
Mobor Boys fought gallantly and reduced the margin through Shaun.
Guardian Angel put a vast improved display in the second session and enjoyed good ball possession. Victor, who was in his element, struck twice in quick succession to put his team in a comfortable lead.
Mobor Boys were in full cry in the dying minutes and managed to pull one more back through Clifford.
