4 held for assault by Verna police

Verna police have arrested four persons from Mapusa and Vasco on charges of assaulting a 40-year-old labourer from New Vaddem over some previous enmity at Zuari Nagar, Sancoale, on Tuesday evening.
According to Verna police, accused Sidesh Palyekar, who was working as a supervisor for a real estate company, along with his three relatives allegedly assaulted Sukhdev Madar at the project site at Zuari Nagar.
Police further informed that the accused had an argument with Madar over attendance issue about 15 days ago and in the intention of taking revenge, the accused along with the three relatives from Palyekar family, Ketan, Amrish and Nilesh, mercilessly assaulted the labourer.
The victim sustained grievous injuries on his backbone, legs have been fractured and sustained injuries on other parts of the body.
Police arrested the accused under Section 325 of IPC r/w 34 and were later released on bail.
