BICHOLIM: Frustrated over the demise of her lone son, an 85-year-old woman from Bagwada in Mulgao-Bicholim who set herself ablaze two days ago, succumbed to injuries on Wednesday.
According to reports, Laxmi Yeshwant Chimulkar had been upset over the death of her son two months ago. On Sunday, Chimulkar who was all alone in her house doused herself in kerosene and set herself on fire. Neighbours tried to save her and rushed her to the Bicholim PHC, from where she was shifted to the GMC at Bambolim. Laxmi was in a critical condition since last two days and died on Wednesday.
