VASCO: Vasco Police got breakthrough in the murder case of 45-year-old man from Chicalim who was found dead with his head smashed at New Vaddem in Vasco on January 27, 2017.
According to Vasco police, the murder of Prasad alias Seby Patra took place on the intervening night of January 26, after which police rounded up several suspects and finally arrested a suspect Prashant alias PK (full details not known) and later for the murder.
Police narrated that while they were investigating the case, they got some vital clue that the one Samir Sheikh alias Chammu is allegedly the prime accused who was wanted in a robbery case registered at Vasco police station and was on the run.
Thus, after receiving information about his whereabouts, police apprehended Sheikh at Pune with the help of Pune police brought him to Vasco police station.
