Exciting news for Goan football fans

It was exciting news to hear that Goa will be hosting the 2015 grand finale of the second edition of Hero Indian Super League (ISL) on December 20. Indeed Goans could not have asked for a better Christmas gift in the festive season.
After the success of the first edition of the ISL and the tremendous following of the Goan football fans of the tournament, especially the games involving FC Goa, the second edition of this cash-rich tournament will obviously bring feverish excitement in Goa. If FC Goa reaches the finals, it will be like icing on the cake.
Indeed pulsating football fervor will mingle with Christmas and New Year festivities. This will also be a tremendous boost for tourism in the state during the festive season. For all this to happen the football administrators in Goa should leave no stone unturned to make it a memorable final. What needs particular attention is the sale of tickets.
The fiasco that unfolded during one of the matches of the first edition of the premiere football tournament, when several football fans had to return back as the tickets were sold well in advance and no tickets were available at the venue should not be repeated. It would be appropriate for the tickets to be sold by a designated bank through it’s branches throughout Goa. Indeed Goans are grateful to the Chairperson, Football Sports Development Ltd. for allotting the ISL final to Goa.
