PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has allowed the Save Old Goa Action Committee (SOGAC) as intervener in the Old Goa illegal bungalow matter.

The SOGAC had filed an intervention application before the High Court in the Old Goa illegal bungalow case alleging that the petitioner – Corvus Urban Infra LLP, has obtained permissions by misrepresentation of facts. The SOGAC had filed an application to be impleaded into the case as respondent.
It may be recalled that Corvus Urban Infra LLP had filed a petition before the High Court seeking relief from the various orders that halted the work of the controversial bungalow in Old Goa. The Court had later quashed the revocation of technical clearance order by the Se Old Goa Village Panchayat, Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department and also the demolition order of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) against the work of the bungalow.
