MAPUSA: The Mapusa Municipal Council has resolved to reserve 20 per cent of its monthly salary for development works.
The council unanimously took the decision during an ordinary council meeting presided over by Chairperson Shubhangi Vaigankar in the presence of Chief Officer Sitaram Sawal.

The council decided to have a single window system for granting multiple licences and NOC for structures in a time bound service.
The meeting also decided to impose tax of Rs 550 as rent for installing banners for a period of 10 days including security deposit and Rs 40 per sq mt for normal hoarding and Rs 80 for per foot for digital or movable hoarding.
