2 women injured in accident at Quepem

QUEPEM: A two-wheeler accident occurred on the busy Balli-Quepem main road near the Quepem Fish Market, resulting in injuries to two women riding separate bikes. The accident happened at around 7:30 am, a time when the road witnesses heavy traffic with children going to school and many people parking their two-wheelers irresponsibly on the roadside.

Local witnesses reported that such minor accidents happen frequently near the fish market due to a combination of irregular parking on one side of the road and street stalls on the other side. This situation often leads to traffic congestion and an uneven road surface, contributing to the accident. Despite these recurring issues, no concrete action has been taken to address the matter, and individuals continue to park their two-wheelers haphazardly.
