Archbishop Filipe Neri will leave for Rome; to be formally elevated as Cardinal on August 27

Cardinal-designate Filipe Neri Ferrao, 69, will leave for Rome on August 21 to attend the ceremony, where 21
clergymen will be formally elevated as Cardinals on August 27.

After 465 years, the Archdiocese of Goa will get its first cardinal.
Presently, Filipe Neri Ferrão is president of the Conference of Catholic
Bishops of India (CCBI).
