PANJIM: Damodar Higher Secondary School, Gudi-Paroda once again proved their supremacy in the inter higher secondary school sports by clinching the State tug of war boys championship, organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Campal ground, here, recently.
Damodar HSS defeated title contenders Vidhya Prabhodini Higher Secondary School, Porvorim 2-0 in the best of three games.
Earlier, Damodar HSS emerged winners of Quepem Taluka with a win over SS Angle HSS of Mashem while in the South district final they defeated St Andrew HSS of Vasco on the way to the State final.
The team was represented by Hussain Shaikh, Jamawant Singh, Amrit
Bage, Vishnu Rassur, Ashvil Vaz, Saishwar Vasta, Jovi Fernandes, Gaurav Naik and Swetan Da Costa.
