CALANGUTE: Adarsh Yuvak Sangh prevailed over Milagres Sports Club, Mapusa 4-2 via the tie-breaker after being held to a 1-1 draw to move into the quarter-final of late Gajanath Kamat Babholkar memorial all-Goa inter-village football tournament, organized by Chapora Yuvak Sangh, at Chapora ground, on Tuesday.
Milagres began the match on a promising note and took the lead in the fifth minute through Casmiro D’Souza.
Trailing by a goal, Adarsh went all out in search of the equalizer and drew level in the 69th minute through Sachinath Satelkar.
The winners were decided on penalties as Adarsh proved to be better shooters beating Milagres by 3-1. Edwin Fernandes, Domingo Fernandes and Paulo Joao converted for Adarsh while Casmiro D’Souza was on target for Milagres.
