J&K 266 for 6 on Day 1

MARGAO: Half centuries from Jatin Wadhawan, Ahmed Omar Bandey and Shubham Singh Pundir helped Jammu and Kashmir to score 266 for 6 on day one of the four-day encounter of Col C.K Nayudu under-23 cricket tournament at BITS Pilani ground, Sancoale, on Monday.

MARGAO: Half centuries from Jatin Wadhawan, Ahmed Omar Bandey and Shubham Singh Pundir helped Jammu and Kashmir to score 266 for 6 on day one of the four-day encounter of Col C.K Nayudu under-23 cricket tournament at BITS Pilani ground, Sancoale, on Monday.
Openers Jatin Wadhawan and Pranav Gupta gave good start for Jammu and Kashmir with an opening stand of 87 runs. Jatin was first to depart at his individual score of 60 hit in 99 balls with help of 11 hits to the fence and one towering six. 
Ahmed Omar Bandey cracked 55 runs in 87 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes and punished the hosts’ fast bowlers Deepraj Gaonkar and Joaquim Morera. But the spin trio Vedant Naik, Amulya Pandrekar and Regan Pinto bought some cheers to the sagging morale as the three picked up two wickets each.
At stumps, Shubham Singh Pundir and Firdous Ahmed were batting with 66 and 3 runs.
