MARGAO: The south district and sessions judge Nutan Sardesai on Tuesday rejected revision application filed by accused Fakirapa Dodamany, of Caranzalem praying to set aside order of JMFC framing charges against him in a case of accident.
Police said that on February 3, 2013 at 5.15 pm, the accused Dodamany while driving Swift Car GA-08-F-377 from Chicalim to Dabolim knocked a pedestrian, Premlal Bistha who suffered injuries and the Vasco police registered offence of rash and negligent driving against Dodamany. Later, the Vasco JMFC court, Judge Edgar Fernandes ordered charges to be framed against accused and hearing began on April 3, 2013.
The accused in his revision application before the district and sessions court stated that no witness named him and that he has been wrongly implicated in the case. PP Subhash Dessai represented state before the district and session court.
