MARGAO: The Margao police on suspicion detained a 22 years maid, Geeta Doddamani of Khareband, Margao suspected to have stolen a diamond ring worth Rs 2 lakh from the house she has been working at Margao.
Police informed that Ravindra Lawande, filed a complaint on June 20 alleging that Doddamani stole his ring which he had left on a table when he had gone to have bath. Further investigation in the case are in progress.
