PANJIM: Several top level NCP state executive committee members, are reportedly peeved that discussions are taking place without their views being considered.
State party president Surendra Sirsat however blamed the resentment on fact that certain people are making statements that they have secured an NCP ticket without anything being officially announced.
“It is natural that some people will be worried. Some people are making statements that they have already secured the tickets. Other ticket aspirants are worried. It happens in all political parties during this time,” Sirsat said without masking the fact that there was large scale unhappiness among the party leaders over the tickets being finalised.
Several party leaders are reported to have had an informal meeting, where the issue of discussions taking place keeping the NCP state leadership in the dark was discussed.

“There are elections in several states, so the leaders of both parties are busy in campaigning and other things in other states. Nothing is finalised. It will take at least another 2-3 days. When they have to have talks they will call me,” Sirsat said.
He blamed the delay in finalising the alliance as one of the major reasons for the rifts and resentment.
