MAPUSA: Nerul SC got the better of Xetrapal SC by 4-2 margin via tie-breaker to advance into the 3rd Rosary Cup Mandrem Soccer tournament organised by Dunes Sports Club, Mandrem, at Mandrem Village Panchayat ground, on Friday.
Both the teams knowing each other’s style of game restricted the play mostly in the midfield.
After the end of regulation time, which ended in a goalless draw, the penalty shoot-out was enforced where for Nerul SC Aniket Agarwadekar, Akash Banavalikar, Nikhil Naik and Aman Govekar were on target, while for Xetrapal SC Kanaya Govekar and Gaurav Vaingankar scored.
The first goal scorer was awarded to Aniket Agarwadekar.
