VASCO: A no-confidence motion was moved against Sancoale Sarpanch Girish Pillai by six panchas, recently.
The reason cited was that the sarpanch was not taking the panchas into confidence. Six panchas from Sancoale Panchayat submitted the notice of no confidence motion to Block Development Officer Mormugao against the sarpanch.

Panch Satish Padvalkar said, “Last time when we got elected the term to hold the sarpanch post was divided among a few panchas. However, after finishing his term, Pillai remained quiet. There was no major development in the last three years, so we decided to move the no-confidence motion.”
