PANJIM: The former president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Goa and the State BJP Medical Cell Convenor Dr Shekhar Salkar has called upon the police to initiate swift and stern action against the person who allegedly assaulted a doctor on duty in a private hospital, at Porvorim.
“I am aghast and anguished over the assault on a doctor at Porvorim. The medical fraternity is closely watching the seriousness of the police probe into it. We demand immediate arrest of the criminals who assaulted the doctor. It is a serious offence under the Medicare Act, 2013,” said Salkar.
