2 rasta rokos in 4 days
HERALD REPORTER
MARGAO, DEC 8
Believe it or not, the Eastern bypass witnessed two rasta rokos within a span of four days, with people of Davorlim and Rumdamol demanding streamlining of the traffic along the bypass.
While Davorlim residents set ablaze a burning tyre at the Aquem road traffic junction on Sunday demanding a stop to truck parking at the junction, residents of neighbouring Rumdamol took the streets demanding speed breakers on the bypass.
Incidentally, in both the instances, the residents have been running from pillar to post to get their traffic problems resolved, but in vain.
In fact, they have been complaining of accidents staring at the residents of these two villages on account of the steep rise in vehicular traffic on the eastern bypass after the PWD took up the four-laning of the road.
