PANJIM: Harsh Jetaji clinched seven wickets fro 60 runs in his debut for Goa against Kerala in the under-14 South Zone cricket tournament match, hosted by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, at CPT IT ground, Chennai, on Tuesday.
Kerala won the toss and elected to bat, posting 173 in 88.4 overs.
Left-arm spinner Harsh went out all guns blazing for Goa and picked up seven wickets in Kerala’s demolition.
Harsh’s spell of 35 overs, 60 runs, 12 maidens and seven wickets is a record of sorts for any debutante in the age-group cricket for a Goan player. He equalled the previous best of seven wickets on debut by Sanyat Kanekar, a few years ago.
Rutwik Naik was the other wicket taker for Goa, picking two for 33.
In reply, Goa lost early wickets of Mandar Kadam and left-hander Ketan Nandrekar. Play ended 12/2.
