PANJIM: Investigations into the seizure of narcotics from arrested Malayalam film star Shine Tom Chacko, assistant director Blessy Silvester and three models has revealed that the cocaine found on them, was sourced from Goa.
The Kochi police had arrested all five who were partying at Blessy’s flat in Kadavanthara on January 31, and recovered 10 grams of cocaine from them. When their statements were recorded they revealed that the cocaine was purchased from Goa.
The team of Kochi police, along with Blessy and one model Reshma, have left for Goa on Friday at 4.30 pm, by road. A lady police officer is accompanying the team. Sources in Kochi police said that the cocaine was purchased from a person identified as Franco. Kochi police have filed the case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act against the arrested.
Chacko, has acted in films such as Gaddama, Annayum Rasoolum, Ee Adutha Kalam. He figures as a criminal on parole in the film ‘Chapters.’ More recently he has acted in the film Ithihasa, where he plays the role of a young petty thief.
